Delete your account and data
Last updated: August 2026
Summary
This page explains how to delete your Pervagans account and the data attached to it. It applies to the website at pervagans.com and to the Pervagans Android app (package com.pervagans.app). Both use the same account, so deleting the account deletes it everywhere.
In the app: open the Pervagans Android app and go to Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to confirm; the deletion then happens immediately and signs you out.
Without the app: email support@pervagans.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to be signed in, to send this request.
What deletion destroys
When we delete your account, the following are deleted from our systems along with it:
- Your account. Your profile, email address, authentication details, plan and remaining credits, and any active sessions on every device.
- Your chats. Every conversation and message, including uploaded files and images, prompts, model responses and their citations.
- Your Projects. Each Project together with its custom instructions, uploaded knowledge files, persistent memory and default-model settings.
- Your generated images. Everything in your Gallery, including the stored image files themselves, not only the database records pointing at them.
- Your presentations. Every generated deck, its slides and the jobs that produced them.
- Everything else tied to the account. Artifacts, saved preferences, connectors and your credit-usage history.
Deletion is irreversible
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We cannot restore a deleted account, recover deleted chats, Projects, images or presentations, or transfer them to a new account. Creating a new account with the same email address afterwards gives you an empty account, not your old one. If you want to keep anything, export or download it before you send the request.
Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription billed by our payment processor. Cancel your subscription first (see the Refund Policy) so you are not billed for a period you cannot use.
How to request deletion
In the app. Open Settings and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm, and the deletion runs immediately. If you have a paid subscription the app will tell you to cancel it first, so you are not billed for a period after the account is gone.
Without the app. Send an email to support@pervagans.com from the email address on the account, asking us to delete it. This route works from any browser or mail client. You do not need to have the app installed, and you do not need to sign in. Please include:
- The email address of the account to delete;
- A clear statement that you want the account and its data deleted; and
- Whether you also want any public share links you created removed (see below).
We may need to verify that you control the account before we act: a deletion request we cannot attribute to the account owner is a way to attack someone else’s account, so we would rather ask one extra question than delete the wrong data. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and, once the request is verified, delete the data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Links you made public
If you used the share feature to publish an answer at a pervagans.com/s/… link, that snapshot is stored separately from your account so the link keeps working for the people you sent it to. It is not removed automatically when your account is deleted: its connection to you is severed, but the page stays up. Say so in your deletion request and we will delete those snapshots too.
What we keep, and for how long
We keep only what we are required or permitted by law to keep. In practice that means billing and tax records of purchases you already made. Our payment processor is the merchant of record and must retain transaction records for accounting, tax and anti-fraud purposes, and we keep the limited billing information we received from it (such as plan, transaction status and the country used for tax purposes), detached from your deleted account.
As stated in our Privacy Policy, when you close your account we delete or anonymize the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it, and backups are purged on a rolling schedule. A copy may therefore persist in an encrypted backup for a short time after your live data is gone. We have not fixed a single numeric retention period for these records, because the applicable accounting and tax retention periods differ by jurisdiction; if you need the exact period that applies to you, ask us and we will tell you.
Data on your Android device
The Android app stores two things on your device: your session cookie (encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore) and your app preferences (theme and language). Signing out clears the stored session immediately, and uninstalling the app removes both. The app opts out of Android backup, so nothing is copied off the device to be restored later. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or the data we hold on our servers; use the request route above for that.
Images you saved from the app to your device’s gallery (under Pictures/Pervagans) are your own files on your own device. They stay there after deletion, and only you can remove them.
